is a New York City band led by Cuban-born bassist, singer, and composer, Niño Torrente. Its repertoire ranges from traditional Cuban songs to origninal compositions. The band's tight sound draws from old rhythms filtered through the multicultural energy of New York City. Son De Hoy appears weekly at Cuba and has also played at Nell's, the Village Underground, La Belle Epoque, Gonzalez y Gonzalez, Risa, and Cafe Pertutti.
